Area Description: Village of

Pisanets is located in North-Central Bulgaria. It is part of Vetovo Municipality, Rousse District. The village is situated in

a beautiful part of the Rousse countryside, laced with rivers and gorges and forests. Only 28 km from the village is the town

of Rousse. The large and architecturally interesting town has excellent facilities - modern and traditional restaurants and

mehanas, coffee bars and night clubs, excellent and cheap shopping, fitness and massage parlours. About 5 km north of the

village is located the river Rusenski Lom, 5 km south is the river Malki Lom. This region has very beautiful nature with some

amazing views. You can visit the natural park at Lipnik, just outside Rousse, see the rock paintings in the caves at Ivanovo

or visit the fortress ruins at Cherven. There is a reasonable asphalt road leading off the main road and into the village,

which runs up to about 100m from the house, where there is then a good dirt road. The main Rousse-Razgrad-Varna road offers a

good single carriageway road to Shumen where the motorway to Varna then starts. Varna airport is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours

drive and the coast just beyond that - resorts such as Golden Sands and Albena within another hours drive, Sunny Beach to the

south down the coast. Sofia airport is approximately 4 hours in the other direction.
